2007 was a very exciting year for me. The highlight of it all being my wedding in October, followed by our honeymoon to Aruba. The wedding was perfect! 72 degrees and sunny in NYC in October...I couldn't have asked for better wather. Aside from that, the day in general was absolutely fabulous in every way. Aruba was amazing. It was my first time out of the country, and of course I took tons of photos along the way.
In December, I had the fortune of meeting photographer Joel Meyerowitz. His work is truly amazing, and he is an intriguing individual as well. I didn't realize at the moment the affect that meeting would have on me...but I soon realized the profound impact it had. Within days, I decided to further pursue my love of photography. I would start a website to show my work, and another one to sell it. I would make it a point to share my pictures with the world. I would make it a point to take more pictures, and hoped that the website would help me to do so by showing my abilities to a broader audience. I would put my work out there for all to see.
Today is February 9th. Both sites are nearing completion. The closer I get to the web launch, the more nervous I get. I'm about to expose myself to anyone who wants to take a look. I'm about to show photos that have never been seen by anyone other than my husband and I. Will people love it? Will they hate it? Only time will tell. And hopefully, the photos are well received. All in all...whether people love my photos or hate them, they're still looking at them. And in the end, isn't that what matters?
